Day 12, Thursday, Tatopani to Ghorepani (2850m)
The day can be described in one sentence: A 10 hour walk up stairs in the rain whilst getting eaten alive by leeches.
We left Tatopani (1200m) at 7.15 am to commence our 10 hour walk with a 1650 m ascent to Ghorepani (2850m). The first hour started well, with dry and sunny weather and good jungle views. However, the weather quickly switched to tropical, heavy, never-ending rain which followed us all the way to Ghorepani. The views disappeared and the only thing left to focus on was the seemingly endless staircase leading us to our destination.
