We arrived in Jaipur by train late at night on 19 July following a hectic day in Pushkar. Jaipur, founded in 1727, is the capital of Rajasthan and has a population of roughly 3 million (an average size in India). Jaipur is also known as the “Pink City” due to the pinkish colour of the buildings in the city center.
